This week, it was brought to my attention that The City of Trail in British Columbia had posted a series of YouTube "How-To" videos for their citizens to follow. I took some time to watch these videos as the The City of Trail is a Vadim client. What I saw was a great example of how VadimOPEN is working for them.

The CBC reported today that the council of the City of Rossland, a Vadim Software client, has decided to slow their community down. In the interest of public safety, they voted to reduce the speed limit in the City limits from 40 km/h to 30 km/h. Why?

Traffic and the Pan Am Games

I’m not terribly knowledgeable about sports, but even I can’t escape the excitement in Toronto these days regarding the Pan Am Games that opened last Friday.  Lots of hub-bub and media coverage of the  events; everything is coming together quite well, apparently. (Certainly the medal totals for Canada in the first few days are excellent).   However, I did hear one traffic report Sunday morning that had me scratching my head. 

Why is the upgrade to Windows 10 different from other operating system upgrades?

This new version of Windows is less about the features (although Microsoft might disagree) but rather the upgrade price; it’s FREE. More specifically it is free to anyone who is currently running Windows version 7 or 8, but there is a catch. For this upgrade to be free you must install and update your computer to Windows 10 within one year from the July 29, 2015 release date.
